Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree

I realize I have not posted in a LONG time... Here is just a short little post. It's the day after Thanksgiving Matt, Eli, Matt's brother Jeff, & I went to the Owasso Christmas Tree Farm to cut down our tree! It was cold, but a really pretty day to be out. We found the tree pretty quickly while Eli chased Uncle Jeff in & outa the maze of trees!

Once we got the tree in the van Eli was totally confused! He kept saying "tree outside, not inside". He was technically right, trees go outside NOT inside & esp. not inside the van! Funny boy!

And our tree!!!!! (Which is being taken down today) Ha Ha Ha...

We're alive...

Just a quick post to say yes Matt, Eli, and I are all alive. They are doing great, me on the other hand... I'm on new medicine and it's terrible! I have NO energy, I'm nauseous, and just plain exhausted! Any prayers would be wonderful. I'll be on this medicine for 6 months (I've got 1 month down) my Dr. says I'll probably feel like this the whole time. Yippee!!! All for the sake of letting my body heal. I'm trying to keep the faith that it'll all be worth it in the end. : )

Sorry for not being a part of the blogger world lately. I'll come back soon (I hope!).

A beautiful song...

This is one of my all time favorite praise songs. I'm reminded that God is in in control of everything and that includes our great country. I am being totally honest w/my friends and family on this blog, I was not happy w/the election results, but I can say that I'm at peace because God promises He will never leave us or forsake us. He is God of this city and this country! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

(Jennifer asked me to post this song so here ya go...)

You're the God of this city
You're the King of these people
You're the Lord of this nation
You Are

For there is no one like our God
There is no one like our God

Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Greater things are still to come
And greater things are still to be done here

You're the Lord of Creation
The Creator of all things
You're the King above all Kings
You Are

You're the strength in our weakness
You're the love to the broken
You're the joy in the sadness
You Are

Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Where glory shines from hearts alive
With praise for you and love for you
In this city

Greater things have yet to come
Great things are still to be done
In this city
Greater things are still to come
And greater things are still to be done here

Amazing Girls' Retreat

This weekend I went on a women's retreat w/our church. We loaded up & headed to the Post Oak Lodge in West Tulsa. I'd never been there before, it was BEAUTIFUL!

We had a simulcast of a Beth Moore conference called "Loving Well". It was actually a repeat of one that originally happened 3 years ago, but even though it was technically a repeat I learned so much! God is awesome!

Kristen, Brandi, Shanna, Jaclyn, & I all rode together & hung out quite a bit. We really grew our friendships along w/our relationships w/our Heavenly Father. We also had the privilege of learning a crazy game I've named it "Balls in Panty Hose" ***LET ME EXPLAIN*** We put a tennis ball in the toe of a thigh-high panty hose, they put it on our heads and tried to tangle ours w/our opponents and the person who got the opponent's hose off first won!

Here are some pics. of the beautiful Post Oak Lodge.

Girls just wanna have fun

We had a wonderful time. I know I really re-connected to the Lord, I've really battled so much over the past 2 years that I think I almost forget the God WANTS to take my stresses, fears, etc. from me. He WANTS me to let go & let Him. He WANTS to love on me. I was reminded of these things along w/others this weekend.

Bear Gets a Bath

We noticed the other day that Eli's bear was getting pretty rank. It was the 1st thing we bought when we found out we were pregnant. As it turns out it's become a sleep time ritual for Eli. Bear has been washed a lot, but I normally just toss him in a load and have him all done before bed time. This time we decided Eli is old enough to help me. We scrubbed Bear down w/Shout, tossed him in the washing machine, tossed him in the dryer, then he was officially all clean again! (TEMPORARILY that is)

(I told Eli "Bear needs a bath" he immediately took him and put him in the bath tub!)

Me & the Man I Love

Last week Matt & I stared a couples Bible study based on Fireproof. It's really great!

Aren't we cute???? I love this man!

Eli and the Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Oologah Pumpkin Patch... It was fun! Eli LOVED the hay-bale maze!!!
We really didn't get many great pics, but here are a few...
