In the BUFF!!!!

Well, there are no pics. of this wonderful Eli story, but that may be for the better! So today I went into Eli's room to wake him up cause his daddy was on his way home. Well let me paint you a picture of what I walked in on. My son was SOUND asleep, he had pulled the sheet off the mattress... that's not all he'd pulled off... ALL of his clothes were off (I'm talking shirt, pants, and socks)... Oh and his DIAPER! He was all curled up in a ball on the mattress completely NAKED! I was gonna take some pics., but my camera was in my van cause we were getting ready to go to my family's Christmas! But it may be for the better, I'm not sure that those are pics. I should be posting! My poor Eli was not happy when he woke up naked and cold! Poor guy!! But, I must say it was the funniest thing that kid has done in a while! Man I love being a mom!
We were truly blessed tonight at my family's Christmas celebration! We braved the slick roads, and made it to my sister's house. Had good food and good fellowship. Burrrrrrr, it's so cold! Well that's about it for this post!

Almost done shopping....

I'm almost done shopping for Christmas! Yea!! I have to buy for my 11 yr. old niece, shouldn't be hard, clothes, lip gloss, nail polish... Girl stuff! Now I get to start baking! That's Matt's favorite part of this time of year, all my baking! I really enjoy it, I can't wait until Eli is old enough to help me! Next yr. probably.
Today Eli & I went to the mall with Brandi (no Hunter though :( ), it was nice to get to hang out with her and talk! When I think about the number of people God has put in my life lately I am amazed! You girls are awesome! Eli was good as usual, he's a good little trooper! Got a package from my grandparents in Tenn. today with a gift for Eli in it. It's wrapped, but I think it's a truck! Which is great cause trucks are his favorite! I MAY let him open it tonight, will talk to Matt! That's about it for this blogger girl today!

My handsome hubby and me!

My niece Alexandra, my nephew Brandon, & of course Eli....

Cold Cold Cold....

It's beginning to look like Christmas! Burrr.... What a week we have had! I'm sure most of you have been through the same no power situation we have! We were out for 3 days. Not fun at all! We stayed with Matt's family, my family, & a family friend! Matt said we were like nomads! Roaming all around Owasso, following power! Very funny! But my office was closed until Friday, so at least I got some time with Matt & Eli! Well I hope everyone has power now and is getting ready for Christmas in just over a week! This is my far my favorite week of the yr. (aside from being sick with a fever and sore throat!). Crazy I know, but it is! We have everything bought just need a couple gift cards then Matt & I get to shop for each other! We save each other for last and split the remainder of our Christmas money! I love shopping for Matt, he gets to excited about everything! He's like a kid! We are going to get Eli a big yellow dump truck from Santa too!
I wish all of you peace this week! I hope that there is no stress in any last minute hustle & bustle! Good luck! Stay safe, warm, and enjoy family time! Our celebration begins Saturday! Yippee!!! I will say that this yr. will be kinda hard cause Matt will be working Sat., Sun, & Mon. so the 3 days before Christmas he will not be with us. I really have a hard time with that! I know we just need to persevere and God will reward us! At least he's off on Christmas day! No real pics. for the week, but these are just random, as usual!

Christma Party...

Well tonight was our Sunday School Christmas party! It was at our teachers' very nice home, and ALL kids were welcome! Well I can say next year my son will probably not be invited! Let me explain. Eli is 17 months old and being our first child I'm not certain about this, but I believe very strongly that we are starting the terrible 2's! He was yelling, throwing things off their stairs, screaming, just being a crazy boy! Matt was getting stressed and I was trying to calm Eli down and still discipline him. Needless to say we left pretty early, actually everyone was still eating! We have an amazing class, everyone was saying 'it's OK, he's not bothering anyone, we've all been there'. But Matt & I said all along we would never ruin anyone's dinner at a restaurant or anything cause Eli was being crabby. God tested us tonight with that decision!
Before all this... I was walking to the van to put Eli in and I fell. He was just fine, me on the other hand... I twisted BOTH ankles. My left one is more swollen than my right one. They both hurt! Tomorrow I take my niece and Eli to the mall for some more Christmas shopping...We'll see how I do! Ha Ha Ha Ha....
I have no pictures to post cause frankly Eli was not letting me do anything other than chase him! But I did take my camera! :)

Random!!!!!!

God is so good. I have been working so much lately, it's been hard cause Eli really doesn't like it when I'm gone. Matt and I don't get much time together anyway, so when I work on my days off he gets a little mad. Well this week, things have been crazy, but Matt's attitude has been good. Not making me feel bad cause I'm working. I tell him I can quit anytime he thinks we are ready! Ha Ha... Saving for a nice new house is our goal. Almost there! Anyway, my guys are just great! No matter what Eli can always make me smile! And I have to say no one can make him laugh like I can, which in turn makes me laugh like crazy! I just love them so much! I know it's crazy and probably a little random to say, but I don't remember what it was like before Matt & I started dating and then got married. I sure don't remember what it was like before Eli. Matt & I ask each other all the time what did we do before we had Eli? We have no answer!

I was reading Brandi's blog and it triggered something, so here ya go. I have a funny mom story while I'm here writing! I thought the other day "does Eli need to have an 18 month check up?", so I call the pediatrician and ask. The nurse said yes he needs to come in at 18 months, but no shots. Then she went to the computer to make him an appt. and she said "oh, he didn't come in at 15 months and get 3 shots" so he has to have 3 shots at his 18 month visit next month! I hate it when they give him shots. That's just not something a mom wants to see their child go through! :( Anyway, note to those of you with young babies, there is a 15 MONTH CHECK UP! Ha Ha...

We took some pics. of Eli at Woodward Park a few weeks ago. Well I should re-phrase, we tried to take some pics.! Eli only wanted to run through the leaves, so that's what we did! I love taking pics. Matt says Eli will be blind before he's 2 cause of all the flashes! It's SO bad that as soon as I pull the camera CASE out of the drawer he says "cheese". It's hilarious! Oh, Eli has also been saying "HO!HO!HO!", it's so cute! This is such a random blog, I hope it's not so all over the place that you can't follow! Ha Ha...

God bless you all!!!!

Ho Ho Ho....

So, it's been a while since I posted! I have to say something very odd/funny happened last weekend while Eli & I were at Hobby Lobby... Eli is in this stage of saying "HHHIIII" to everyone we see. OK, so we are at Hobby Lobby and this lady walked by us and he of course said "HHHHIIIII", she actually glared at my son and me! Being a mom and a protective mom, I wanted to knock her head off her block and say "look lady, he's an adorable 17 month old baby and he's saying 'hi' to you, so say 'hi' back!" Eli just looked at me with this look of dispair! What I should have done was say "Merry Christmas". Crazy! I mean I know I'm biased but he's adorable and if my son says hi to you say hi back!
