So few words

I haven't had time to post lately... So what I've done is just post some pics. and told briefly about what's been going on here... There are many more pics. to post, but really I need to be playing! : )

Don't give up on me. More posts to come!

Eli, AJ, & Hunter...

1st of all I have to say we sure missed Aiden! You'll come next time right?
Shanna, Brandi, & I took the boys to the Owasso Splash Pad the other day. That's just the coolest thing around! I can't praise it enough! Fun! Wet! Safe! & FREE!

All 3 boys (well sorta)

No more baby for me...

My baby boy is now in a big boy twin size bed! The crib has been put away. I really have to be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about this. I love that he's growing up and I love the person he's becoming, but it's REALLY bothering me that he's just not a baby anymore. Since Eli will more than likely be our only child I think this is hitting me harder than it should. I will be OK, just need some time to really adjust to this whole BIG BOY thing! I mean b/t us (he he he) I'm kinda glad boys don't normally potty train until closer to 3 cause that will REALLY mean no more baby!

Here we are getting all settled in for his 1st night! (Which by the way he did wonderful!)

OK so before anyone calls DHS on me I need to explain this whole car w/a cord attached that my child is sleeping with! We bought Eli this CARS lamp but his dresser is in his closet so he'll have more room to play, so we put the lamp on his short 3 drawer set and thought it'd be OK as his night light there. Well I came in to check on him and he had unplugged it and slept w/it! Oh my goodness you talk about freaking out! I was a basket case! SOOO... I immediately (well after these pics. were clicked LOL) took the car lamp and it's safe in our closet until we can figure out somewhere for it to be where Eli can't get it! So please don't think we let our child sleep w/things that have cords attached! He He He...

Ridin' along in my 'automobile'...

my Addie beside me at the wheel (OK, not really, but the song fit!)
Eli got a ride on toy and his 1st 'bike' the red tricycle that every kid needs for his birthday! We are still learning on it, but he's sure trying! It's SO hot outside that when we are out we are in the water somewhere (backyard, friend's pools, lake, splash pad...) but once things cool off a little we'll be able to really work w/him more on the peddling aspect of the trike!

Who needs Big Splash...

when you've got the coolest pool & slide around? (Coolest to Eli anyway!)

Can you see the orneriness on this child's face?

Hose water anyone? YUCK!

The Ball Pit...

My mom, dad, sister, & niece got Eli this wonderful 'Thomas the Train' ball pit for his b-day! He LOVES it!

Eli & Daddy playing in the ball pit...

Even Daddy like it (well we will just say some 'boys' NEVER grow up)

I think this is one of my favorite pics. (To be honest I really think Eli would sleep in here if we'd be on board for it)

And we're out! (For now anyway)

Happy 2nd Birthday My Sweet Boy...

My precious Elijah Warren turned 2 on Friday July 11th! I really can't believe it! I means it seems like it was just yesterday when I was in the hospital in labor, but then it also seems this wonderful little person has been in our lives forever!

What a blessing this child is to us. He fit right in w/Matt and I. Silly I know, but it's true. It's funny how God knows exactly what we need. Matt and I needed Eli and he needed us. When I think about what life would be like without this Angel well I can't imagine it! He's supposed to be here! He's the greatest thing EVER! E V E R!!!

OK, so onto the PARTY stuff... Since Eli is so into CARS we decided to have a CARS theme party. It was great! This kid has so many people who love and adore him! He is totally spoiled too. He wasn't lacking for a single thing and yet received enough toys to open a toy store here at home! Some of Eli's friends came and others couldn't. (We really missed you guys -- Anderson's, Howell's, Wedemeyer's...) But, it was a blast!

Here's how our day began...

Rise and Shine...

The food and cake (now I will say this year's cake was NOT as cute as last year's but that is OK...)

Random-ness

And I now give you my son or maybe it's a Ninja Turtle I really can't tell! Yummy green icing...

**side note to those w/little kids, we gave the kids their cake outside some were in the pool some weren't, but outside was the best! We literally hosed them off when they were done eating! Praise God for Summer birthdays! Ha ha Ha**

If he only knew...

If Matt only knew I posted this pic. of him!!! (If you read this, I love you babe!)

There's a very long story to this photo, but ya can pretty much tell how he felt about it!

Splish Splash...(In our NEW yard!!)

Quite a while back Matt bought Eli a pool for our new house so now that we're in the house we blew it up and let Eli swim. It's a really nice blow-up one from Wal-Mart (where else right?). As it turns out it had been the best $20 spent in a long time!

Our son LOVES water! And LOVES might be an understatement! As seen on the Anderson family blog, Eli, Aiden, & Hunter have had a few pool play times at Kristen's. Now there she sets Aiden's slide up so the boys can slide into the water (which we're hoping Eli gets a big slide for his b-day so we can do the same)... My point to this rambling is that he loves it! Loves water period. Going under (OK w/him), jumping, splashing, in and out, the only thing our son does not like about water is the getting OUT part!

Addie loves water too. She's still a little too young to really enjoy it w/Eli, but here Eli is actually saying to her "Addie in" then he would look at us and say "You got Addie in water?"... Funny boy!

Addie just hanging out on Eli's towel til it's time to chase him...

One more thing...

Our precious baby boy Eli will be 2 on July 11th... Well, since we bought the house we decided the every little boy needs a DOG...

So, let me introduce you to the newest addition to our house... Our 4 week old (yes, I said 4 weeks) Chocolate Lab... Addie! *** Her mama had 11 pups and she was dwindling away cause she was nursing them ALL, so she stopped! The pups started eating on their own at 3 weeks pretty well, so we got her about 3 1/2 weeks (we have talked to a vet friend and he said as long as she'll eat puppy food and drink water she'd be great!)... Well, she's just awesome! She's so sweet, super smart, and just LOVES Eli! Where did the name Addie come into play? I was looking at Addie's mom online and Eli ran up sat on my lap saying dog then popped off with Addie! So, that's what she's been called ever since! It fits her too!

So.....
