Best Buddies Go To the Park

Eli & Aiden went to the school park at Bailey (all the parents came too)....

I just love taking him to the park. He thinks it's something great every time! No matter where we go, what we do, how long we stay, he LOVES it!

Kristen told me that Aiden was saying "E-y park" all the way home. Once there the boys just ran around and played played played.

Here are the random park snap shots!

Zoo as a Family

Matt, Eli, & I went to the zoo a couple weeks ago when we were off for our vacation time together.

The part Eli liked most was, of course, the playground! Ha Ha Ha... Matt & I love the sea lions, but they were being LAZY when we were there.

See for yourselves

Eli called the penguins "kitty"... So cute!!!!

YEE HAW! The Austin's Head to the Farm

Staci (Matt's little sis) has been dating the wonderful guy named Josh for over a yr. and he just loves Eli! For months now Josh has wanted to take Eli to his family's farm in Bixby, it just hasn't worked out mainly due to Matt's schedule and the rain! Well, Josh left this past Monday and will be outa the country for over a month then once he comes back he'll be gone again to TX. for the rest of the Summer. So we decided that this past Sunday was the best and really only time for Josh to show Eli the farm. So right after church we ran home, changed clothes, & ate lunch. Then off to the farmlands of Bixby Oklahoma!!! I prayed all the way there that Eli wouldn't be fussy cause he always takes a great nap Sunday after church b/c he's played so hard. (He was amazing! Not at all fussy!!!)

When we got there we wanted to see Josh's HUGE dog! It was the biggest, nicest, sweetest dog EVER! So as we were all there just talking and letting Eli walk around the field and play w/the dog my son finds the one and only MUD-PUDDLE in the whole farm! I was quite a ways off from him Matt was close but not fast enough! Eli stepped right into the mud-puddle then he plopped himself right down in it!!! BBBOOOOOYYYYSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What can ya do? Did he really do anything wrong? We didn't think so. Just proved beyond any doubt the expression 'BOYS WILL BE BOYS"... So we all just cracked up laughing! Eli laughed for a sec. then said "UP!!!"... I can only guess the mud was getting places we won't mention. It was really hot and sunny Sunday, so I didn't wanna take Eli's clothes off and let him run around naked cause he would've really gotten burnt bad not to mention we were on a farm people! So, I left him in his muddy britches and that was that. Here are my son's wonderful shoes... (side note, once home I threw away the socks!)

Muddy Britches....

Josh's family has cows! Boy do they have cows!!! Josh took Eli out in the middle of the heard to meet these cows!

I think Eli was telling Josh how to farm... : )

We had so much fun! It's funny how doing something so simple looking at cows can be so fun w/a 2 yr. old!!

Staci & Josh -- We love you guys...

And I leave you w/this... Once done we stripped Eli down to his shorts and let him ride home like a shirt-less & shoe-less hillbilly! Cutest hillbilly I've ever seen!!!!

Kiddie Park w/the Andersons

Last Friday we went to the Kiddie Park in Bartlesville w/Todd, Kristen, & Aiden. Matt & I had never been there. We had a great time! It was so much fun letting our boys ride together and just enjoy this "life's first experience". Let me tell ya it was by far the cheapest thing you could ever find to do! .25 a RIDE w/the exception of the train & roller coaster those were .50 (big money). I believe we ALL played for 2 1/2 hrs. and spent about $8. Crazy huh?
Both boys were up way past their bed-times, but they were SO good! It was really nice to get to take them out and get to spend good time w/Todd & Kristen! Friends are wonderful when you're grown-up and toddlers! : )

And they're off!!!!!

Giddy Up!!!!

Eli was loving the plane, Aiden really wasn't!!! But, immediately once he 'took off' he was laughing!!

I didn't get a good pic. of Aiden & Todd, but Aiden liked the roller coaster MUCH more than Eli did....

What a blessing it is to have wonderful friends in our lives to share special memories with! God bless each one of you!

At the Park w/Daddy

Some of the best times we have as a family are at the Funtastic Island Park. We actually had Eli's 1st birthday party there! It's funny cause on this trip Eli made friends with the amazing boy! He was probably 10 yrs. old and paralyzed from the chest down. He was in a wheelchair, breathing tubes, legs strapped in, head strapped in, etc. his caregiver was this super nice young man. He had lifted the wheelchair onto the merry-go-round and made sure it was secure so the boy could ride! Eli went right over to them and said "HI!!" then the caregiver asked Eli if he wanted to ride the merry-go-round w/them. So up he went! The whole time we were at the park, Eli would seek these amazing young men out just to say "hi" and he was just "talking" to them like he was the President of the US! The young boy in the wheelchair thought Eli was awesome. I regret to say that I didn't ask either of them their names, but let me just tell ya watching Eli be so kind to this boy made me the happiest mom around! Matt & I were a little weary only b/c we didn't want Eli to hurt the boy or pull a cord or tube out! But, we could really tell it meant so much to this boy just that we let our son "hang out" w/him. I didn't get pics. of this for obvious reasons, but I wanted to share this story w/you. Kids are so honest, loving, caring, kind, and NOT JUDGE-MENTAL!!! I know I sure learned something from my almost 2 yr. old son that day!

So, these are some pics. of Eli and Daddy that day! He loves the swings. He loves to just run around. At one point he was about to slide down a little slide and Matt was ready to catch him, so I went down to get on the ground... I did not get this on camera, but our son did NOT slide down, he WALKED ALL THE WAY DOWN! Crazy boy!!!!

Mother's Day at Matt's parents'

We went to Matt's parents' house the Sat. before Mother's day to celebrate. Jeff, Matt's younger brother surprised everyone by coming up from Texas! It was good to see Jeff (and his dog Biscuit). It's funny Eli never gets to see Jeff, but he sure loves him! Goes right to him and just smiles and laughs! He's not really sure of Biscuit because at Christmas Biscuit got him really good, gave him a really bad scrape under his eye along w/a black eye right on Christmas Eve! So, I'm sure Eli remembers that and is a little weary to say the least. He likes other dogs a lot, just not Biscuit! But, can ya really blame him? Smart kids far as I'm concerned! Ha Ha Ha Ha

Eli & his Uncle Jeff

My precious boy & me...

Ain't he just so cute?!?!?!?! : )

The Sweetest Times...

I went into Eli's room the other day cause it was time to get up. He's usually awake, but NOT this time. Passed out cold!

Here are a few pics. of my sweet sleeping angel!

Also, I know some of my pics have random dates like 01 01 2004... I never remember to change the date stamp back when I put in the new battery! So the dates are wrong on some of my pics.
